Dear Heavenly Father,
Today we celebrate with joy the birthday of your Son,
and though it's such a festive time I really miss loved ones.
I know they are in Heaven now without a single care,
but since you're listening, Lord, I know you'll hear my humble prayer.
I miss the many Christmases we'd celebrate each year,
and there's an empty place within my heart without them here.
So I would like to ask if You would let my loved ones know
that Christmas isn't quite the same as not so long ago.
I'm looking forward to the day when we are reunited,
and when I think of what's in store, I really get excited.
So please forgive me, Lord today, for feeling kind of blue,
but thankful that my loved ones spend their Christmases with You.
